Bivaques in the highest mountains is for me the best what one can get in paragliding. This kind of travelling brings incredible and sometimes even unreal situation in strange sequence and volume. JIMMY 2 is a modern 3-line wing (of a strap construction) with nylon rods in a leading edge. Uncovered aramid lines in the upper gallery reduce drag on a necessary minimum. Even the risers with a high effective speed-system complete the sporty character of JIMMY 2 – made of thin but strong enough 12 mm strap with an aramid core Cousin.
JIMMY 2 with its performance, quality construction with nylon rods and aspect ratio 5.8 (what is more common in a higher category wings) meets the strict safety standards in EN-B.
It´s placed on the very top of this category and exceeds ordinary wings of EN-B. Thanks to a maximum performance and safety.
This result also aids a special shape of cell openings on the leading edge. They positively regulate the air flow and a closed trailing edge makes JIMMY 2 compact and stable also in unpleasant turbulent conditions.
In New Zealand, we were travelling with Blanka at the turn of 2001/2002 for six months and were driving a small Honda Civic. The Doors have got under my skin. They also travelled with me in Argentina; we were waiting with Ďuro on a 4000-metre peak for two days, during storms we were holding a tent and were listening to Riders on the storm. This great parachute had to be named JIMMY. It was obvious from the very beginning.
