Our goal when designing BLACK BETTY was to offer traveling pilots and flying adventurers a powerful, light, but also sufficiently durable paraglider.
One that we like to take for our personal travels around the world.
There’s nothing to hide…
BLACK BETTY is not a paraglider, which would be necessary in the company’s offer. BLACK BETTY is my personal wish fulfilment. Matter of the heart. It is not just about the canopy. It’s about the whole solution – BLACK BETTY canopy, MT COOK harness, RS Ultrino reserve parachute, FAST-PACK backpack and KEYLONG rucksack.
For a person with my needs, the cooperation with top design team with Alexei Rakov is a great advantage. It didn’t take too long and something was created that made projects of pilots – travellers even more enjoyable.
BLACK BETTY is structurally identical to our favourite mid – EN B – FREDDIE 2. Its design is nothing to change. Its performance and even its agility fully meets XC flying needs. High passive safety also allows you to search for thermals in the most diverse corners of nature. As the nature of the adventurer requires.

How did we reduce weight?
Ultra-light material from Porcher Sport, lightweight lines, thin Liros risers – thanks to all this, we managed to get the weight of the paraglider to the 3.78 kg (with area 23 m2, which is suitable even for 80 kg pilot, but of course, we are able to produce other sizes).
Performance comes handy…
Modern canopy design featuring a few widgets, in its category superior performance with glide ratio 9.38, great compactness and accurate control – this is what gives you the opportunity that BLACK BETTY takes you even for longer flights.
And what did we do to make BLACK BETTY last long?
We used classic solid SKYTEX for the forehead of the leading edge. Fair solution of our products has a direct impact on their life and thus also your well made investment. So with this El Speedo “travel” paraglider you will experience many exciting adventures.

El Speedo KIT
Travels with a paraglider do not belong to the easiest. But the views from the height above a beautiful landscape pay for the various predicaments. The aim of our solution is that those difficulties were as small as possible.
Put BLACK BETTY + El Speedo harness MT COOK (0.95 kg) + reserve parachute RS ULTRINO (0.98 kg) into our QUICK PACK Ultrino. It weighs just 650 grams and can also be used as a backpack. Quick pack Ultrino also, from 2016, comes included in the price of our paragliders.
Filled QUICK PACK insert into the KEYLONG rucksack (also included in the paraglider price). KEYLONG is sufficiently robust for transport in aircrafts, buses and off-road cars. In addition, all your other personal items will fit in KEYLONG.
Then, when you come to your flying destination, you can pull out FAST-PACK from KEYLONG, throw it on your back and walk away lightly to the take off. Because all your paragliding equipment will weigh less than 7 kg. Including even GPS-vario SKY DROP, a helmet and a telephone. And that’s another tranquility…
