Having such an exceptional model, we decided to prepare a new El Speedo Art Edition for this occasion. Asymmetrical, abstract minimalist design. For some it can be only three colors, for others an ice floe floating in the sea, a hungry fire, a frozen plain, wildflowers on a hot summer day or sunset. It is an abstraction that moves one into the world of fantasy. Do you know Mark Rothko? Fifteen years ago, I came to his life story and to this day I enjoy and get inspired by his work.

A partner into the high mountains
Bivouac flying in the high mountains is for me the most that can be experienced in paragliding. Special situations during bivouac trips come at an unexpected pace and extent, and the pilots accept them as a constant challenge. And for this way of flying, you want to have 100% equipment that will give you confidence in durability, stability and performance.

Construction
JIMMY3 is a modern wing of a three-row riser construction. The upper gallery is made of unsheeted cords, long cords are equipped with Dyneema braided cords Liros PPSL 200, 160 and 120.
In addition to nylon reinforcements of various diameters, the leading edge is also complemented by an aerodynamic Air Scoop reinforcement and a double 3D cut. The trailing edge is reinforced by mini-ribs almost along its entire length.
Also new is the design of the leading edge openings, tensioning tapes on the upper surface, which improves the quality of the wing surface and many other less noticeable improvements.
Even the risers with a very effective speed system complete the truly sporty character of JIMMY3 – they are made of a thin but sufficiently strong 12 mm strap with a Cousin aramid core.

The Doors – a ride without brakes
At the turn of 2001/2002, Blanka and I traveled in New Zealand for 6 months and rode in a small Honda Civic. There was a cassette tape next to the car radio, it was the only one – The Doors. I learned English from this music. Half a year, over and over, what the hell is he singing about? Is that a theater or what?
The Doors got under my skin. They also rode with me in Argentina. Ďuro and I waited for two days at the peak of 4,000, we held our tent in the storms and Riders on the storm played for us. Those were long nights. And those camp fires, barbecues and dances that The Doors and L. A. Woman kept for us. Last night in Pakistan 2011 before the flight from Nanga Parbat – Ďuro and I didn’t have to decide what music to listen to – Leonard Cohen, Metallica and The Doors.
This great paraglider must have been named JIMMY. That was clear at the outset.
