A BACK PROTECTOR

All the Chogori harnesses have a closeable pocket for a back protector. So when you’ll take it off and place there a sleeping bag in place, the pocket will strengthen and will work as a spine protector reliably. The back construction of Chogori doesn’t support the whole back anyway. So even when you’ll take it […]

A SLEEPING BAG

Warm nights are nice, the best relation between warm & weight have feather versions of sleeping bags. For example Phantom 0 by Mountain Hardwear is awesome at a lower temperature also, proven quality. It weights 1,2 kilos, compared to a common sleeping bag with a comparable warmth you save more than 300 grams.

A TENT AND A SLEEPING PAD

This is an unpleasantly heavy tax for a need to sleep somewhere. When I’m somewhere in a civilization I sleep “below the roof” anyway. In contrast when I’m part of mountains, I try to fly fast to avoid a bad weather. I also don’t have enough food to sleep outside usually. If started to snow, […]

Toktogulské lake – Kyrgyzstan 2015

Mountains of Kyrgyzstan are too tempting for their beauty and potential for XC flights and offer many exciting adventures. It would be a pity if we had gone this wonderful area. Where: Kyrgyzstan, Central Asia. Plán: 1st tour – Kyrgyz ridge from east to west as far up to the border with Tajikistan. 2. route […]

SHIVLING – Indie 2013

We knew the area Himachal Pradesh (in the south of Himalayas) before, my friend Ďuro and I were flying there in 2002 pretty intense 10 days and the atmosphere was simply gorgeous. It was our first big bivouac with no phones, no radios, no GPSes, no ground support and even without a backup plan. But […]

From RAKAPOSHI to K2 – Pakistan 2011

For that year we prepared an extremely interesting but also unpredictable track in Northern Pakistan – a bivouac flight from Nanga Parbat to K2. It sounds wild, and it also was. We were putting off this project for 2 years for safety reasons but we still believed that one day there will be peace finally and we will devote to flying around the highest peaks of the world.

ARGENTINA 2007

The Arentina and her always windy Andes – that was a challenge for which we really looked forward. We chose an approach from the north to the south, started in a small town Salta we gradually struggled all means of transport to Mendoza and a little further below.

The foothils of TIAN SHAN – Kyrgyzstan 2006

This year we wanted to continue in our last track and fly around Yssyk Kull Lake in northern Kyrgyzstan, in the mountain range Tian Shan. In a team composed of Karel Vrbenský, Juraj Kleja and Dalibor Carbol we had to deal with hard conditions caused by the windy mountains always surrounded by thunderstorms on the southern and northern shores of Issyk Kull.

From SUUSAMYR to ISSYK KUL – Kyrgyzstan 2004

Another expedition in Kyrgyzstan where we also dedicated to bivouac flying. This time we were just two – Dalibor Carbol a Karel Vrbenský – focusing on a flight from the Suusamyr Valley to Yssyk Kull. We brought a video camera for a first time to record this interesting performance and beautiful experience. Without any ground support.
